¡Por dios! Novum goes Mexico

The cover of this normally so orderly German design magazine breathes the savage atmosphere of desert and westerns. Heat, dust and death. Or: Dia de los Muertos—the Day of the Dead— the festival that originates from Mexico and combines indigenous Aztec rituals with Catholicism, a hazardous mix indeed.

But Dia de Muertos is celebrated on November 1st, and now it is only the beginning of a new year. So there is no sand or blood leaking from the pages of this new Novum.  The cover is inspired by the Novum Plus theme: amazing design work of designers and studios from Mexico. Work with certainly a cultural and regional component, but also: work that measure itself against the best designers worldwide.

And that enwrapped in a golden cover…
