Design FAT art and design from Helsinki

FAT from hotspot Helsinki

Is Helsinki a new creative hotspot? You would think so if you see FAT.

FAT magazine comes from the makers of Kasino A4, an international award-winner that followed its own black & white and style from 2005 to 2009. The team of ‘art dictator’ Pekka Toivonen decided to launch this new magazine in 2013. Now, one year later, FAT is already distributed worldwide, though the spread still is a bit thin. But, with some effort, you can find a copy in cities as London, New York, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai , Los Angeles and Rio de Janeiro.

As said, FAT is crafted in Helsinki and focuses on Finnish Art Today. The magazine promises that it is ‘possessed by the same drive that makes artists provoke and challenge.’

The newest issue  – 244 pages – is due now, in October. We look forward to it.
