advertising new design idea

Time sits on its hands: Age Uk

On the cover of the new Creative Review: photograph by Calum Head, taken during the Age UK ad shoot.

As ever, Creative Review is British and intelligent, broad-minded and international. Top story is on Age UK, the new ad campaign by renowned photographer Nadav Kandar. It features people from 0 to 100, from every decade (in fact, the oldest was 102-years-old, and still runs marathons!).  The result is a film that stands out it in its seemingly simplicity. It is quite contrary to the current fashion: shock tactics for charity marketing. The quite, pensive copy stresses the message:

And there is a lot more of photography to be enjoyed in Creative Review: CR sits around the table with four prominent photo agents, comments on the comprehensive Cartier-Bresson retrospective in Centre Pompidou (Paris, France), discusses GoPro Cameras as the latest must-have creative gadget and looks at Getty Images effort at shifting perceptions of women – marketing trick or serious attempt?

In short, highly recommended for the thinking creative class.
