Straight from the Eighties: Blueprint Magazine!

Just in: Blueprint 330, the latest issue of this magazine on design, art and architecture.

It has the size of a pavement tile, and about the same weight – the latest issue of Blueprint Magazine, number 330. On the cover the facade of Mecanoo’s Birmingham Library. In about 266 pages Blueprint celebrates that it exists for 30 years.
Johnny Tucker, editor-in-chief: “in 1983 Polish trade unionist Lech Walesa picked up the Nobel Peace Prize following his leadership of democracy enhacing Solidarnosc in Poland, while in Britain we re-elected Maragaret Thatcher with a massive 144-seat majority…” And I have to admit: I remember it all very clearly.

Ah, how I love the smell of ink on paper! (That’s a bit eighties as well, I suppose.) Later more from this beautiful issue.
