System City. AD by Michael Weinstock.
Ok, it is a bit older than most magazines discussed here.
Sorry, the magazine, Architectural Design 224, was too interesting. I took it home and read it from cover to cover. System City, theme of Architectural Design July/August 2013, describes the structure of cities and the space of flows, under guest editor Michael Weinstock, architect and director at the School of Architecture in London.
Tht results in 136 highly interesting pages. On the Urban Energy Data Model. On climate, ecology and the city. On forrest patterns as a model for urban morphologies. On variation and distribution. On networks and the city.
And on change – as is said in AD: ‘the urban landscape is rich and diverse, and thus becomes a heterogeneous landscape of emergent interactions within a homeostatic environment’.
