DAMn: delicious new issue – Food Special

Just in: a delicious new issue of DAMn.

One of the best magazines on contemporary culture, Brussels-based DAMn, is focusing on food in its latest issue. In a 60-page special it shows what creatives can do with food, food waste and kitchen utensils. Sometimes in a serene pensive manner, like the work of Swedisch couple Carl (photographer) and Evelina (stylist) Kleiner, who make graphic layouts outof food items. A Composition in Yellow, made of cheddar cheese or A Paraphrase of Solomon Lewitt, made outof coffee.

And sometimes quite wild and shocking.  The Mickey Mouse mask made of raw meat, by Dimitri Tsykalov for instance, or the serial killer cake by the British Miss Cakehead. And what to think of the Dumbster Chefs? Don’t waste it, cook it is their motto. And all illustrated with excellent photography, like the cover by Lorenzo Vitturi.

In short: an issue to read & eat (with your eyes), this new DAMn. We’ll come back to it soon.
