Creative Review: Thousands of creatives fight for a pencil

Nice extra with Creative Review: D&AD Awards 2013

For 50 years a group of British designers and art directors, shortly D&AD, celebrates commercial creativity with a competition and award show. Thousands of professional creatives send in their work and are hoping for… a pencil. The D&AD highest decorations are A White Pencil, a Yellow one or – the summit – a Black Pencil.

The latest Creative Review summarises all the winners in a neat booklet that is included in the magazine. Here: the sweetest and most cruel entry (is that a category?), that was rewarded with a Black Pencil: Dumb Ways To Die, by McCann Erickson Melbourne, that was seen by about 56 million others on YouTube.
