Lürzer’s Archive: Queen Kate on cover
Fashion royalty is the theme of this campaign for the Sunday Times, promoting The Sunday Times Style Magazine’s best dressed list.
The visual used in this ad is a pastiche on ‘The Lightness of Being’, the iconic the portrait of British Queen Elisabeth II by photographer Chris Levine (2012), taken on the occassion of het Diamond Jubilee. London studio Act2/UM digitally transformed Kate Moss in royalty, but in quite a different manner. Where The Queen closes her eyes to rest and meditate for a short second and cloes herself off from the world, Moss looks straight at the viewer. Provocative, with a touch of irony.
