Creative Review: young animators, new characters

Creative Review  speaks with a new generation of animators.

Like the Layzell Bros – their work is to be seen on the cover of CR: Paul and Matt Layzell (‘Feel free to talk about us. We want FAME’). Two young art directors that are influenced by 60s and 70s psychedelica. Say: a mixture between Yellow Submarine and Fritz The Cat. Only a few years outof college the two already have some great work under their belts, including a music video, some eye-popping E4 stings, self-inititated animations and commissioned work for comedian Adam Buxton. Currently the Layzell Bros are working on a short film for a new late night cartoon slot on Fox. Matt: “we are keen to make more short films and are gunning to get work on a series”.
