Design 360: Jólan van der Wiel

 

Now in 360 Design and nominated for a Design of the Year Award, by the London Design Museum: Dutch designer Jólan van der Wiel, the designer who makes furniture and objects with his self-invented Gravity Tool. A mix of iron filing and plastic is put in a mould and then exposed to the forces of nature: gravity and magentism. The result is both capricious and enchanting – products from a fairy world.
