Out Now: Form 245 – Sharing

Form, one of Europe’s leading design magazines, is published since 1957. It is a ‘thinking’ magazine: not just showing pretty pictures, but conceptual and leading in debate. That is reflected by the cover story: Sharing (Vom Ich zu Wir) – Stephan Ott on ‘sharewashing’, piracy, altruism and what designers have to gain from considering the common good.

And: “In our view at least, an interesting thread has emerged that runs through the present issue: Many designers are turning away from the new as an end in itself, they are focusing instead on a critical engagement with what already exists. Be it in thoughtful approaches to lost objects (Stuart Haygarth), rubbish (Studio Swine and Kieran Jones), historical locations (h2o) or traditional crafts (Matylda Krzykowski and Handmade in Germany), to mention just a few examples.”
