Jimi Hendrix, handmade in Iceland

As said earlier, design magazine Novum has a fine nose for outstanding work and fresh new talent. In the latest edition: Halldor Haukun Andressón, a young graphic designer who graduated at the Iceland Academy of Arts in 2010. His fancy online portfolio (see: Aim for the head) consists of books, flyers, t-shirts, cards, posters and type design.  One of the items we like most: this mulitlayered stencil of Jimi Hendrix.

Andressón: “I’ve always had a strong admiration for everything handmade and one of a kind. Stencil making is something I think highly of and I’ve sliced up a few myself, this though being the first multi layered stencil artwork I’ve done. For your very own purple hazed canvas, signed sealed and delivered just write me an e-mail.” Contact: andresson [at] aimforthehead.net.
