A+U 507: Valerio Olgiati

Architecture + Urbanism is entirely dedicated to the work of Valerio Olgiati, the Swiss architect that recently had a solo exhibition at the MoMa Tokyo, in the winter of 2011/12. The issue highlights characteristic projects of this architect’s architect who ‘does not believe in anything’.

According to Olgiati ‘the most radical and most beautiful kind of an magnificent building would be a building that can exist in only one particular way’. A+U highlights his recent work in Switzerland and abroad: the iconic Perm Museum in Russia, the Cardiac Centre in the United Arab Emirates  and  – also on the cover – Cantina Il Carnasciale in Italy.
